Here’s the synopsis for the film:

Aniara follows the story of a spaceship transporting Earth’s population to a new home-planet when it is knocked off course, continuing onwards through an empty and cold universe. The Swedish Nobel prize winner Harry Martinsson wrote Aniara in 1956 and now for the first time adapted to a visually stunning sci-fi drama where the ship’s population look to escape into MIMA (a computerised virtual world) or face the harsh reality of their new life.

ANIARA is released cinemas and on Digital HD from 30 August. Get all the latest sci-fi news with every issue of SciFiNow.
